Whether you’re flying solo or enjoying partnered play, follow this quick checklist to keep your experience clean, safe, and UTI-free.
💧 Before You Play
- Wash your hands with warm water and soap.
- Clean your toy with an antibacterial toy cleaner or mild unscented soap.
- Check for damage (tears, cracks, corrosion, broken parts).
- Charge or insert batteries safely and fully.
- Choose the right lube for your toy (e.g., water-based for silicone toys).
- Use a condom on the toy if sharing or switching between anal and vaginal play.
- Trim fingernails if using your hands, no one wants accidental scratches!
🔥 During Play
- Listen to your body, if something feels off, stop.
- Reapply lube as needed to avoid friction or irritation.
- Avoid cross-contamination, switch toys or change condoms between areas.
- Keep wipes or a towel nearby for easy cleanup.
- Use toys gently near the urethra to avoid irritation or injury.
🌸 Aftercare & Clean-Up
- Pee after play to flush out bacteria and prevent UTIs.
- Wash your toy again and let it air dry before storing.
- Store in a clean pouch or box, never loose in a drawer!
- Disinfect regularly if toy is non-porous and waterproof.
- Check your body, any discomfort, burning, or odd symptoms? Follow up with your healthcare provider if needed.
